COMMUNITY

From helping fight cancer to green initiatives at the organizational level, Appraisal MC has a long history of advocating causes that help make our world a better place. We believe it is our responsibility to make community engagement a significant part of our mandate and work hard to develop and foster partnerships with grassroots non-profit organizations. Throughout the year, we get involved in many community events and are proud to have team members who share our passion for giving back.

APPRAISAL MC MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Go Green — Our team at Appraisal MC is passionate about reducing our carbon footprint. From limiting paper usage by going digital, using energy efficient bulbs and sensors in the office and implementing office recycling programs we are making strides to go green.

Shred for Independence — We make sure that we can make a difference in everything we do. While we strive to Go Green there are times paper needs to be printed. All of our paper is sent to Shred for Independence to support a unique business owned and operated by individuals with intellectual disabilities. The program was started by an amazing Appraiser and his family in the Houston area and we are proud to support them. If you would like to donate or request more information please visit their site: http://summerhousehouston.org/shred-for-independence/

Team and Lender Causes — At Appraisal MC we are a family and an extension of your team. When a member of our family feels strongly about a cause such as the American Heart Association Heart walk or our client is doing a mission trip in Guatemala, we support them. Our team is actively involved in different causes and we always step up to support them and do our best to communicate those causes so others have the opportunity to get involved.

Breast Cancer Research — Our CEO serves on the Board for the Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation. The Nancy Owens Breast Cancer Foundation is organized primarily to fund one or more qualified public charities that support education, care and research for breast cancer. Since 2002 the organization has raised over 1.4 million dollars to fund breast cancer research to the world’s leading research institutions such as MD Anderson, Baylor College of Medicine and Methodist Hospital with the collaboration of real estate professionals in Houston.
